Features subject to mandatory licensing in HiPath 3000/5000 V9  
The following products and components used with HiPath 3000 and HiPath 5000 V9 must be licensed (i.e. are subject to mandatory licensing). The required licenses are combined in a license file and must be distributed to the relevant products using HiPath 3000/5000 Manager E.

The following features which are subject to mandatory licensing are licensed using separate license files:

 •   CSTA Service Provider (CSP)
 •   TAPI Service Provider (TSP)
 •   HiPath Fault Management

Licensing for OpenScape Office  
Licenses are required to use the OpenScape Office applications. License management of HiPath 3000/5000 has been expanded for this reason from V8. In order to transfer the license data, the Linux server of OpenScape Office HX must be connected with HiPath 3000.
The licenses for OpenScape Office are available in addition to the existing licenses of the HiPath 3000/5000 system. The following licenses are supported for OpenScape Office and for CSP (CSTA service provider):
 •   Basic licenses:
   -   OpenScape Office V3 HX Basis 5:
     1 system license to operate OpenScape Office HX
     5 licenses for Standard User
     1 license for OpenScape Office Directory Service
     Contains the OpenDirectory Base license.
   -   OpenScape Office V3 HX Basis 10:
     1 system license to operate OpenScape Office HX
     10 licenses for Standard User
     1 license for OpenScape Office Directory Service
     Contains the OpenDirectory Base license.

VoiceMail or VoiceMail license  
Voicemail only The voice mail function can only be operated via the telephone. The VoiceMail license and the "Standard User" license cannot be used simultaneously. Upgrading to the "Standard User" license is not possible and not necessary.  
Standard User  
myPortal Presence, CTI, voicemail and fax (inbound and outbound)
1 license per user, up to 384 licenses. The VoiceMail license and the "Standard User" license cannot be used simultaneously.  
myPortal for Outlook  
Integrated in Microsoft Outlook, 1 license per user, up to 384 licenses
In order to use myPortal for Outlook, a Standard User license is necessary.
If more myPortal for Outlook licenses are required than the number of Standard User licenses available, an additional Standard User license must also be acquired for each additional myPortal for Outlook license.  
myPortal for Zimbra  
For the usage of the Unified Communications functions via the Zimbra user interface. The licenses for myPortal for Zimbra are "floating", i.  e., they are not firmly assigned to the subscribers, as many subscribers as licenses are available can only use this functionality at the same time. In addition, myPortal for Zimbra needs a Comfort Standard User License. At most, 200 web clients (myPortal for Mobile/Tablet PC and myPortal for Zimbra) can run.  
myAttendant  
Soft client solution for the phone operator or team worker
1 license per myAttendant, up to 20 licenses  
With myAttendant, a user can be granted access to the applications of other users, specifically to voicemail, to fax and to the LAN messages of the Message Center. The myAttendant application can therefore only be started with the following preconditions:
 •   HiPath 3000 includes at least 1 voicemail license and myAttendant licenses
    or
 •   HiPath 3000 includes 1 myAttendant license and 1 standard user license for every instance of myAttendant
Application Launcher  
For a call-related control of applications on a client PC in the case of incoming and outgoing calls, e. g., start of an application or display of caller's data. In addition, Application Launcher needs a Comfort Standard User License. At most, 100 Application Launcher Licenses per system are possible.  
Gate View  
For video surveillance which delivers video pictures to the OpenStage phone, to the PC, or to the iPhone. To OpenScape Office V3 MX up to 2 cameras can be connected, to OpenScape Office V3 LX/HX up to 8 cameras can be connected.  
 •   B channel with HG 1500: Additional bandwidth for access to voice mail, fax, AutoAttendant services and announcements, 1 license per channel
 •   Evaluation license for 30 B-channels in HG 1500: This evaluation license is only used in conjunction with evaluation licenses for OpenScape Office and for OpenScape Office Contact Center.
 •   Contact center licenses:

myAgent licenses are "floating", meaning that you can define any number of stations as agents, but only a limited number of agents may be logged in simultaneously, depending on the number of licenses.

    This evaluation license is aimed at HiPath 3000 customers that have never used OpenScape Office before. All OpenScape Office features are enabled for a grace period of 90 days, after which they are automatically disabled. If regular licenses for OpenScape Office are enabled during the grace period, the evaluation license is also disabled. License activation is performed via the Customer License Agent (CLA) and is only possible once, and only when no OpenScape Office licenses were previously active.
    To allow all OpenScape Office features to be used, the number of HG 1500 B-channels is increased to 30 during the grace period.
 •   Evaluation license for OpenScape Office Contact Center (90 days, free):
    This evaluation license is for HiPath 3000 customers already using OpenScape Office but without Contact Center. Only the Contact Center is enabled. The grace period is 90 days, after which the license is automatically disabled. If regular licenses are enabled for the Contact Center during the grace period, the evaluation license is also disabled. License activation is performed via the Customer License Agent (CLA) and is only possible once, and only when no OpenScape Office Contact Center licenses were previously active.
    To allow all Contact Center features to be used, the number of HG 1500 B-channels for an HG 1500 board is increased to 30 during the grace period.
 •   The following licenses are required for the OpenDirectoryServer feature on OpenScape Office HX:
   -   "OSO V3 HX OpenDirectory Base" - This license is activated together with the "OpenScapeOffice V3 HX Base Licence Package" and is valid system-wide. Therefore, only one license is required. It serves to activate the feature "OpenDirectoryServer".
     The "OSO V3 HX OpenDirectory Base" license is a prerequisite for the "OSO V3 HX OpenDirectory Connector" license.
   -   "OSO V3 HX OpenDirectory Connector" - This license contains the number of possible Backend connectors for the OpenDirectoryServer. A maximum of 4 licenses are possible.
    These licenses are activated with HiPath 3000/5000 Manager E, which is located on an Administrator PC. When the license dialog is opened, the new licenses are automatically read and saved in the HiPath 3000 system database that is located on the PC. After the system database has been transferred to HiPath 3000, the new "OSO V3 HX OpenDirectory Base" and "OSO V3 HX OpenDirectory Connector" licenses are automatically copied to the SQL database of OpenScape Office HX.
