Internet Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) |
Overview |
| Due to the connection between HiPath systems and ITSPs, voice and data communication can be implemented via a single network. HiPath 3000 has analog and digital trunk connections and in conjunction with an external router an Internet telephony connection that needs an Internet connection. |
| All connections (apart from emergency calls and special numbers, fax and modem connections) are routed via ITSPs by default. PSTN connections are mostly used for the overflow. Some ITSP also offer "DSL only", consequently special numbers, emergency calls and faxes are also routed via the ITSP. Modem connections via DSL are not possible. |
| A combination of DSL and S0 connections is an option for covering all possible scenarios. |
