CSTA via IP 
 

Definition  
The Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is used for CSTA via IP. A permanent connection is set up. Data packet loss is detected and automatically corrected.
For HiPath 3000, the following number of server applications may be connected per system:
 •   up to one in HiPath 3300/3350, HiPath 3500/3550
 •   up to four in HiPath 3800
Restrictions may apply to applications that use certain services. For example, only one application at a time can start the message registration function.
For an external application to address HiPath 3000/5000, it must know the TCP port (7001) of the TCP/IP server implemented in HiPath 3000/5000 as well as the IP address. Data packets sent from an application to HiPath 3000/5000 - that is, packets containing the HiPath IP address, TCP port 7001, and protocol type TCP - are accepted for further processing.
HiPath 3000 V7 and later systems support CSTA monitoring of connections to ITSPs. This enables e.g. call center applications to be used, even if SIP trunks are used.

LIM/LIMS  
LIMS is released for HiPath 3800 for administration, fault management and the settlement of call charges. No other features or protocols are supported via LIMS.  
LIM for HiPath 33x0 and HiPath 35x0 can be used for CTI/CSTA applications in conjunction with TAPI 120 (up to 6 stations). No other features or protocols are supported via LIM.  
SimplyPhone for Outlook via LIM  
SimplyPhone for Outlook via LIM is supported in version 6.0 and later.  
Prime Line (Simplified dialing)  
The "Simplified dialing" feature is not supported by CSTA.
