Calling Name Identification Presentation (CNIP) 
 

Definition  
This feature transmits the caller's own name to the called party, where it can be displayed if proper equipment is available. The public network must support station number transmission.
The called party automatically receives name information when the "Calling Name Identification Presentation" service is enabled, provided the service is enabled at the called party's station.

Analog telephones  
CNIP is station-dependent (Gigaset S100 Professional is supported; Euroset 2020 is not).  
Vendor information relating to analog telephones MUST be observed.  
Special characters cannot be transmitted. Only seven-bit ASCII characters are supported.
