Missed Calls List/Saving Station Numbers

Implementing features, see also Manager E Caller List/Station Number Storage

Definition
Incoming calls for a telephone with display (optiPoint, OpenStage TDM) or a system client are automatically saved in chronological order in a missed calls list when the "Missed Calls List" station flag is set. The time and date of each call is specified, and the user can dial the entered callers directly.

Missed Calls List system flag, mode
Three different missed calls list modes exist:
 1.   Unanswered internal and external calls
If "Unanswered internal and external calls" is active, all unanswered calls are stored in the missed calls list.
 2.   Unanswered external calls only
If "Unanswered external calls only" is active, all unanswered external calls are stored in a missed calls list.
 3.   All external calls whether answered or not
If "All external calls whether answered or not" is active, answered calls are also saved in a missed calls list.

Feature performance
 •   A previously programmed "Missed calls list" key or a MWI key on CMI Comfort telephones display non-viewed entries by lighting up the LED. If you open the missed calls list by pressing this key, the LED will go out when you quit the list.
 •   Users can also manually store incoming and outgoing calls in the caller list. This activates a preprogrammed Missed Calls List key and the associated LED. LED signaling ends when you open the missed calls list. The entry can only be manually deleted via the user interface. The LED is not deactivated and the entry is not deleted by a speaker call or a connection with this saved entry.
 •   In terminals with a two-line display, the oldest entry not yet deleted is always displayed first in the missed calls list.
 •   In terminals with a three-line display (optiPoint 420 advanced), the oldest entry not yet deleted is always displayed first in the missed calls list.
 •   In terminals with an eight-line display, the first five lines are used for chronological call display.
 •   An entry in the missed calls list is deleted when a connection is successfully established to the caller.
 •   If the missed calls list contains an internal (but not network-internal) unanswered entry and this station is called using the Speaker call feature, LED signaling and the entry are only deleted if the subscriber called answers the speaker call by lifting the handset.
 •   If a call from an external source is switched to an internal station by the auto attendant and the station is busy or has activated call forwarding, no entry is made in the missed calls list.

Missed Calls List flag
This flag is used to activate the missed calls list for the relevant station. The missed calls list is used to log calls at the telephone.

Dependencies/Restrictions

 Subject
 Dependency/Restriction
Analog trunk
Only calls with a station number or a name are recorded (calls on analog trunks are not recorded).
Call counter
If a station calls repeatedly, the call counter increments in units of one until it reaches 99 and then restarts at 1.
Group
If you belong to a group, you can access the group's caller list in addition to your own caller list.
Internal/external calls
You can store either external calls only or both internal and external calls.
Max. missed-calls-list entries system-wide
 1.   The maximum number of missed-calls-list entries system-wide (for example, HiPath 5000 has capacity for 1300 different calls) is split between all system-based display stations that activated the Missed Calls List flag. Every station is assigned up to 10 different entries from the missed calls list.
 2.   If a new call that should be entered in a missed calls list for one of the stations is received when the maximum number has been reached for missed-calls-list entries system-wide, the oldest missed-calls-list entry in the system is deleted.
 3.   If a subscriber saves a station number in his or her missed calls list when the maximum number has been reached for missed-calls-list entries system-wide, the oldest missed-calls-list entry in the system is deleted.
Power failure
The entries are deleted in the case of a power failure or a system reset.
OpenStage Telephones - Call Logs
For systems equipped with simplified dialing (Prime Line), internal station numbers in the call logs on OpenStage telephones are handled in the same way as external station numbers.
OpenStage Telephones - Missed Calls
If an OpenStage TDM or CorNet-IP (HFA) is a member of a group, then the missed calls are only visible on the "System" tab, but not on the "Missed" tab.
Saving ext./int. answered calls and ext./int. outgoing answered/unanswered calls
You can access the "store station number" function manually from the service menu.
If a subscriber saves a station number in his or her missed calls list when the maximum number has been reached for missed-calls-list entries system-wide, the oldest missed-calls-list entry in the system is deleted.
Repeated calls
If a station calls repeatedly, the time stamp for the entry is updated and the call counter for this entry is incremented.
