2.8.1 |
Analog Announcements at T/R Ports and IVM Announcements (Station Announcements) in a Network |
Definition |
| Before version 5.0, station announcements were only supported within a single node. In version 5.0 (SMR09) or later, however, calls from other nodes can be simultaneously connected to a central station announcement. |
| Station announcements are configured homogeneously throughout the network. All announcements with the same ID refer to the same destination. |
| The following information applies: |
| • | In the destination node, only one default destination number list is used for the station announcement. |
| • | Station announcements only apply to the first entry in the destination number list - not subsequent entries. |
| • | The number of calls in the UCD queue on the switch must be greater than the number in the call center application queue. This larger number is used for the internal UCD mechanism. |
| • | From the calling node's perspective, the solution for multi-node station announcements is identical to the multi-node line announcement solution. |
| • | When configuring multi-node station announcements, the method applied for calculating B channels is the same as for line announcements. |
| • | Queued announcements are only grouped in the calling node. Multi-node announcements cannot be grouped. |
| • | TDM networks do not support multi-node CSTA calls and announcement requests (in fallback scenarios, for instance). |
| • | The ring tone does not alter if the first multi-node announcement request fails. |
