4.3.2	ITSP Connection

An ITSP station number can be assigned to an internal station number (subscriber or group number). An internal station number can be assigned to multiple ITSPs. The assignment tables apply on an ITSP-specific basis and are mutually exclusive. An ITSP station number can only be assigned to one internal station number.

Up to four ITSPs can be connected in parallel. LCR is used to prioritize the configured ITSPs based on the station number dialed and the time.

HiPath system networks support ITSP connection with parallel connection and use of up to four ITSPs per system. Each system in the network can use all available ITSPs at the same time. Internet access to an ITSP can therefore be used both centrally and locally.

The customer LAN is connected to the Internet via an existing router or an existing firewall. HiPath 3000 is integrated as a component in the customer's internal LAN.

The following must be considered here: NAT (Network Address Translation) is typically implemented in this environment. An IP workpoint (HG 1500 Board) must be able to determine and signal its public IP address used on the Internet in order to be able to receive incoming calls; A STUN server operated by the ITSP permits this, see Section 4.3.9 "STUN Server and Clients".

The HiPath 3000 is configured for connection to an ITSP via WBM and Manager E.
