Configurable Toll Restriction |

Definition |
| Each user in a communications server can be assigned different toll restrictions. Each time a station attempts to seize a trunk, that station's class of service (COS) is checked (toll restriction). The system distinguishes between 15 different classes of service: |
| • | 0 = no trunk access |
| • | 1 = outward-restricted trunk access |
| • | 2 to 7 = allowed lists |
| • | 8 to 13 = denied lists |
| • | 14 = unrestricted trunk access |
| The following list describes the classes of service in greater detail. |
| • | No trunk access Users can make internal calls only. Users can use speed-dialing destinations. |
| • | Outward-restricted trunk access (incoming authorized) Users can only answer external calls. Users can use speed-dialing destinations. Special networking features, see Section 5.3.10.1 "Incompatibilities When Using the LCR Class of Service (LCR COS) with Trunk Access (COS)" |
| • | Allowed numbers lists These lists define which numbers stations are allowed to dial. If no numbers are entered in an allowed list, the station functions like a telephone with outward-restricted trunk access. |
| • | Denied numbers lists These lists define which numbers stations are not allowed to dial. If no numbers are entered in a denied list, the station functions like a telephone with unrestricted trunk access. |
| • | Unrestricted trunk access Users can answer and set up incoming and outgoing calls without restriction. |
| The Allowed numbers lists contain the digit sequences which may appear at the start of a call number. The maximum length of the digit sequence is seven digits (0.9, *,#). A maximum of 100 entries can be made in the allowed numbers list no. 1 and the lists numbered 2-6 each contain a maximum of 10 entries. |

Incompatibilities When Using the LCR Class of Service (LCR COS) with Trunk Access (COS) |
| Trunk access regulates the implementation of toll restriction and the use of lines. Toll restriction verifies the call number dialed by the user and either enables or prevents call setup based on allowed and denied lists. |
| In the case of outgoing trunk seizure, the following distinctions are made in the case of trunks and PABX lines: |
| 1. | Outgoing seizure via a trunk The class of service must be greater than outward-restricted (allowed list, denied list or unrestricted) |
| 2. | Outgoing seizure via PABX lines |
| • | LCR is active Whether toll restriction is performed is configured in the LCR dial plan. If yes, the class of service must be greater than outward-restricted. |
| • | LCR is inactive A check verifies whether a second discriminating digit is configured. |
| - | If a second discriminating is configured, the class of service must be greater than outward-restricted |
| - | If a second discriminating digit is not configured, toll restriction is not implemented, and the class of service must be at least outward-restricted. |
| In the case of an outgoing connection via a PABX line (CorNet-N / Cornet-NQ / QSIG), the class of service is transferred via a networking protocol (restricted). This facilitates toll restriction for break out to the public network. |
| As only a restricted class of service transfer is possible, the following translation is implemented: |

| The LCR class of service regulates the implementation of the configured outdial rules. This allows the user to configure whether a station is authorized to use an alternative provider, for example. The LCR class of service is valid for the applicable route table in each case. The sequence of the seizure attempts is configured via the route table. |
Class of service verification in the case of call forwarding |
| For class of service verification in the case of forwarded calls, the class of service of the forwarding station always takes precedence. In such cases, the same rules as described above apply. |
