Redial 
 
Implementing features, see also Manager E Last Number redial (LNR).

Definition  
When you dial an external call number via a telephone, this number is stored in the HiPath 3000 redial memory. You can search for and redial this number without having to re-enter it manually. Only external numbers are stored in this memory; internal numbers are not stored.
For non-display telephones, only the last dialed call number is stored; display telephones show multiple call numbers. For example,  only one number is stored on OpenStage 10 T (without display); ten numbers are stored on OpenStage 15 T (with display).
If only one number is stored on the phone, this number is overwritten each time an external call number is dialed (see "Last Number Redial (LNR)"). If several numbers are stored on the phone, the last dialed number is at the top of the list in the redial memory, and all call numbers dialed before are moved further down the list. The call number in last position in the redial memory is deleted when a new external number is dialed from the memory (see "Expanded Redial").

Redial on OpenStage phones  
Searching for a call number to redial differs according to the telephone model. For example: 
 •   On OpenStage 10 T, press the centrally administered function key.
 •   On OpenStage 15, this function is fulfilled by a programmable function key that is pre-programmed with the "Redial" function by default. Press this function key or the display key "Scroll" multiple times until the desired station number is displayed.
 •   On OpenStage 40 phone, press the "Redial" function key as many times as necessary to display the desired station and then use the Up/Down keys and the OK key on the 5-way navigator to select the "Call" function.
 •   There are two different options in OpenStage 60 and OpenStage 80 telephones:
   -   A stored call number can be accessed by pressing the "Display call lists" mode key multiple times and selecting the number from the list of dialed numbers (device function, up to 10 stored numbers).
   -   A stored call number can be accessed by pressing a function key assigned the function "Redial" using Manager E or the service code "*91". This is performed by pressing this function key once or multiple times (HiPath 3000 function; up to 10 saved phone numbers).

Last Number Redial (LNR)  
This feature is a HiPath 3000 feature designed for non-display telephones. It can be accessed via the same Redial key as the "Expanded Redial" feature.
Every new outgoing call overwrites the previous number stored. This is also true if System or Station speed dial is used. When using LCR access, only the number dialed by the station is stored in the LNR memory.
A call to a user in a network over a CorNet link is stored in the redial memory. An external call routed via CorNet to a trunk in another node is stored.
This feature can only be accessed via the Redial key. No feature access code is possible. It cannot be used if the lock code is activated.

Expanded Redial  
This feature is a HiPath 3000 feature designed for display telephones. It can be accessed via the same Redial key as the "Last Number Redial (LNR)" feature.
The system stores the last ten external calls dialed by a display telephone. This is also true if System or Station speed dial is used.
A call to a user in a network over a CorNet link is stored in LNR memory. An external call routed via CorNet to a trunk in another node is stored.
Any post-dialed digits beyond the initial destination, (for example, digits sent to a connected voice mail system) are not stored in expanded redial memory.  In the case of a call routed through LCR, only the number dialed by the station is stored.
The system also uses the number redial memory to store account codes (ACCT) that were entered. This is true only if the appropriate system-wide flags are set.
This feature can only be accessed via the Redial key. No feature access code is possible. It cannot be used if the lock code is activated.

DTMF signals are not considered dialing information and are not stored.  
This does not apply to mobile telephones, which store DTMF signals in the internal redial memory.  
After CO through-connect to the initial destination, further post-dialed digits are not stored.
