Disconnecting and Rejecting Calls |
Definition |
| Keys: |
| This feature enables the rejection of incoming internal and external first calls. The following key is pressed to reject a call: |
| • | For OpenStage and optiPoint (stationary terminals): the "Disconnect" function key |
| • | For Gigaset (CMI mobile units): Enquiry function via the R-key or the enquiry softkey |
| Disconnection of a call by individual stations: |
| When an individual station, or a station that is the only group member, is called, the station can start a call before or after call signaling. In this case, the existing call is disconnected immediately. |
| Operating options: |
| • | If the outgoing call was started via a digit key or the "repdial key internal", the existing call is disconnected immediately. |
| • | With every other method - e. g. "repdial key external", call key, trunk key, redial key - the existing call is only disconnected immediately if the "Do not disturb" flag is activated for the station. Otherwise, the existing call is set to do not disturb. |
| Disconnection of a call by a group member: |
| The behavior described above occurs when a station is called who is member of a group with multiple stations. The only difference is that the call is not disconnected but rejected. This means that the caller sees a busy indication on the display, as if the station first manually rejected the existing call and then started the outgoing call. The other group members are not affected by this system behavior. |
| The rejected call then handled according to the Call Management procedure. If there is no call forwarding destination, an external call is intercepted by the attendant console. If an attendant console has not been set up, the call is routed according to the "Ringing assignment per line/Stations/Groups: Line Assignments" table in the Manager E. In the case of a loop start call, the call will remain frozen in the queue if no subsequent destinations can be reached. In all other cases, the call is cleared down. |
