Definition |
| Incoming internal and external calls are signaled simultaneously to all the stations in a group. The group station to first answer the call is connected to the calling party. Subsequent calls are signalled at the remaining idle telephones/clients. If all group stations are busy, all group stations hear a call calling tone. The first station of the group to go on-hook will receive the waiting call. |
Technical prerequisites |
| Any type of telephone can be used in a Group Call group. The telephones must be located in the same node. A telephone can also be located in another node, it will be registered from the system as a external telephone. |
| Each call group can be assigned a name in the database with 16 characters maximum. |
| Feature Interaction |
| A member of a group can activate DND. This means that the telephone will no longer ring when called through the Hunt Group number or when called directly. |
| Only display telephones can deactivate/activate Call Waiting Tone (#87/*87). They will not be signalled of a call waiting, but will receive a waiting call when they go on-hook. |
| Data Line security in Manager T (Call Waiting rejection in HiPath 3000/5000 Manager E) can be configured for a member telephone. An idle telephone rings when a call enters the group; however, a telephone is not advised of a call waiting, and if it goes on hook and calls are waiting, the telephone does not ring until a "new" call enters the queue. |
| Individual members of a group can Call forward-all calls on their telephones. With this feature active, the destination telephone becomes part of the group. However, if the first member of the group Call forwards - no answer to an internal destination, all calls to the pilot number of the group are immediately forwarded to that destination. Individual members can be reached by their station numbers, except for the first member. Only the forward destination can reach the first member through its station number. |
| If station A calls a group, station B (group member) is authorized to initiate a call before or after the call from station A is signaled. If the call is initiated via the keyboard or a repdial key, a busy notice is displayed on station A's display and the call is signaled at another free group member. Station B hears a call waiting tone for the incoming call for all other ways for station B to initiate a call (e. g. repdial key external, call key, line key, redial key) unless station B activated DND. In this case a busy notice is displayed on station A's display and the call is signaled at another free group member. |

| • | Internal calls: At the calling party, the display shows the name of the group assigned via Manager T (16-15-3) or HiPath 3000/5000 Manager E (Incoming Call -> Hunt Group -> Name). The group members with a display telephone see the station number placing the call Call from: xxx. |
| • | External calls: The group members' display will show the calling party number (same as call to a single station). |
